This is an incredible album and one of my all time favorites.
This album is harsh noise with a lot of coughing and retching and sets my personal standard for what a good super abrasive album should sound like. It’s actively stressful to listen to but in a way that is a fun experience.
This is a very serious album about dealing with chronic illness. It isn’t and shouldn’t be camp.
Overall the album maintains the same level of intensity throughout and focuses on the same subject matter. The final song is a cover which is relatively quiet and contemplative, and departs pretty significantly from the rest of the album. It serves as a nice closer and including it was a good decision, but it would have seemed out of place if it was in the middle.
This album is very intense but not really in a “get up and dance” or even a “get up and mosh” type of way.
I made a stencil based on the album cover which you are welcome to use for making your own patches. I recommend using it to make patches that are on the larger side due to the amount of detail - it's heavily simplified but still has a lot of little bits.
